How do I know?

I’m taking these monster sized antibiotics for a sinus infection I didn’t even know I had. How do I know if the antibiotics are working? I guess I’ll have to trust that they are doing their job. The pills are HUGE, and are 875 mg each. I take 2 a day, and they are so large that I have to cut them into quarters just so I can swallow them.

I’m also sneezing my butt off since I had to stop taking antihistamines. I had to stop because my allergist said that the allergy testing will be inaccurate if I’m on allergy medicine. That makes sense, but I am itching non-stop, and am absolutely miserable. I’m going to call in the morning and see if I can get in for the testing this week. I don’t think I can wait another 8 days.

On another note, my husband and I will be playing raquetball tomorrow night. No reason other than that we want to get more exercise, and raquetball is fun. While we’re doing that, AJ and CJ will be swimming. Don’t worry, there is a lifeguard on duty (2 actually) during the time that we’ll be going. I think we’re all going to have fun.

I had a CAT scan today, is that how it’s spelled? I had a chest X-ray also. My asthma and allergy doctor wants to be sure I don’t have any infections or funky stuff going on I guess. I decided that I would never be able to have an MRI done, because the CAT scan was almost too much for me, and felt a tad creepy.

Oh, I got an A on my first Essay for school. I was going to attach it to this post, but I realized that some of the content may not be appropriate for sharing. Trust me, it was good, and even entertaining.

Tonight for dinner we’re having Burrito Pie. Recipe in the more section if you’re interested. I gotta scram. Peace.

INGREDIENTS:

2 pounds ground beef

1 onion, chopped

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 (2 ounce) can black olives,

sliced

1 (4 ounce) can diced green

chili peppers

1 (10 ounce) can diced

tomatoes with green chile

peppers

1 (16 ounce) jar taco sauce

2 (16 ounce) cans refried

beans

12 (8 inch) flour tortillas

9 ounces shredded Colby

cheese

DIRECTIONS:

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2.

In a large skillet over medium heat, saute the ground beef for 5 minutes. Add the onion and garlic, and saute for 5 more minutes. Drain any excess fat, if desired. Mix in the olives, green chile peppers, tomatoes with green chile peppers, taco sauce and refried beans. Stir mixture thoroughly, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

3.

Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture in the bottom of a 4 quart casserole dish. Cover with a layer of tortillas followed by more meat mixture, then a layer of cheese. Repeat tortilla, meat, cheese pattern until all the tortillas are used, topping off with a layer of meat mixture and cheese.

4.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheese is slightly brown and bubbly.

She looks good

Braces are on, and she looks really cute with them. She chose blue and green bands, so she’ll be covered for St. Patricks Day and for Earth Day. I’m so proud of her, she’s been in a lot of pain and she is finally used to the braces. Now if CJ would just wear her headgear like she’s supposed to, she’ll have her braces off this year. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok, this one is a little freaky, and correct.

Good Stuff

I finally got my classes and my books. I’ve got the Accounting II course and a business course that I can’t think of the name of right now. I got A’s in both of the classes from last quarter, so it’s all downhill from here. Kidding! I know I cant get A’s all the time, but a 3.0 is very doable.

So for now, I’m sitting here typing this, watching the kids play Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. Very fun stuff, I’m getting a turn soon I hope.

Bad influence

My husband is such a bad influence on me. He called out sick today (coughbullshitcough) and comepletely distracted me from reading the chapters I was supposed to read today. Oh sure, I didn’t HAVE to join in his evil reindeer games, but I couldn’t resist. Damn him!
